Cudillero, Asturias
Cudillero is a tiny village which swells in population each summer due to tourism. Yet it's not an easy place to see, as only residents can drive or park cars there, and the tiny winding streets can be quite a challenge for things like buses.
(We had to walk up a hill and around the corner to find our bus back to Aviles, as the driver was unable to get past some roadside construction.)
Cudillero is a sweet and beautiful place to live, with its difficult-to-get-to homes etched into the mountain cliffs. I was told how the homes had to be built in unique and challenging ways, as there was no way to get many materials to where they needed to be. Well, the view is something to see, and more interesting than my words, I am sure.
