This image is from Southern Turkey, near Kusadasi, overlooking the bay of Kismet.
Kismet, the subject of movies and title of taverns, is Turkish for "Destiny". Not far from here, they say, is where the original St. Nicholas (of Santa Clause fame) performed his miracles of healing and gift giving.
On this changing of the Millennium, at the dawning of the 21st Century, I wish the very best of Destiny to my friends, family, colleagues, and cyberbuddies.
